What a shocker

Not long home from Subiaco oval where we watched one of the worst games by the Eagles that I have seen. They were a shambles and were out played all across the ground by Port Adelaide.

We left at 3/4 time when it was a 68 point lead to Port. Congratulations to Port Adelaide on their performance....

The Eagles had a few young blokes in for a run and a lot of improvement on their ball handling is needed if they are to push their way into team for the comming season. I know that it is only the NAB cup but it was disappointing to see them totally out played and out classed the way they were.

I didn't watch the game (I don't think it was televised) but the news reported the Eagles were thrashed by Port Adelaide at 150 goals, against their 80. A sorry condition, so there may be more than a few new Eagles rookies playing these last few games.

Well in comparison to last nights game the match between Freo and Nth Melbourne today was a cracker with Freo kicking a goal to win it with 7 seconds to go, what a game played out by both teams and a pleasure to watch.

We have one team in the semi finals and I hope that they go all the way to win their first ever trophy to put in the cupboard......

Well Freo bombed out and lost by 70 points to St Kilda and to be honest were pretty ordinary in their play. They had some young blokes in that weren't up to the job at hand but will improve with experience.

I think that Freo might be in the bottom four this season and might see the end of Mark Harvey as coach.

I'm not a follower of football but I do like to see our local sides doing well in the national competition.
I feel sorry for Freo, they've had a rough few years. I heard one of the coaches say that they had decided that the team had to be re built.
That would take time as there would be many good but inexperienced players in it for this year at least.
